ProfPack Privacy Policy

Case information and evidence

ProfPack stores case titles, incident details, typed locations, descriptions, notes and recorded people's details in a local database on your device. Evidence photographs are copied into ProfPack-managed local storage. Smaller preview and report copies may also be created. Photo metadata already present in a selected file may be retained; this may include a capture timestamp or embedded location information. ProfPack does not track your location.

No ProfPack account is required. ProfPack has no case-data backend or cloud-sync service. It does not automatically upload your case information or photographs to the publisher. No advertising or app analytics service is currently used. ProfPack does not request location, contacts or microphone access. Camera/photo selection is contextual to adding evidence.

Store purchases

When Pro purchases are available, Apple or Google may process store-account, payment, purchase and device information under their own terms and privacy policies. ProfPack receives purchase state and keeps a limited local entitlement cache containing product, platform and validity information. ProfPack does not ask for card details or store-account passwords. Store apps may communicate with their providers even though evidence processing is local. Device and operating-system diagnostics are governed separately by your device settings and provider policies.

Reports, backups and sharing

PDF reports and portable .profpack backups are created locally. A backup includes case information, people, notes, app-owned evidence images, captions and ordering. Backups are user-controlled and are not encrypted or password-protected by ProfPack. Package integrity checks do not certify evidence or make it tamper-proof.

When you export, save or share a file, your chosen application, destination or recipient receives it. Exported and shared files leave ProfPack's local control and are subject to the destination's practices. Check the recipient and contents, particularly when files contain personal or sensitive information. ProfPack cannot recall shared files or delete copies held elsewhere.

Local storage and deletion

Local records remain until you delete them, clear app data or uninstall. Confirmed deletion removes related app records and ProfPack-owned files; failed file cleanup may be retried. Original selected gallery photographs are not intentionally deleted. Temporary files can remain while operations complete or another application receives a share. Cleanup is not a guarantee of forensic erasure.

Uninstalling normally removes app-local storage, but device migration, OS backup and retained external files can behave differently. ProfPack disables Android app backup and attempts to exclude its iOS support storage from OS backup. These measures do not guarantee that every external or OS copy is removed. Keep verified backups outside the app before uninstalling or changing devices. Purchase restoration restores eligible Pro access, not case evidence. Uninstalling does not cancel a store subscription.

Contact and your choices

Support is currently provided by email, not through an in-app ticket system or a dedicated ProfPack support database. Messages are handled through your chosen email provider and the publisher's mailbox. Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for support, record-keeping, dispute resolution or legal obligations. No fixed retention period is promised. Only send information you deliberately intend the publisher to receive.

You can choose whether to add evidence, export/share files or use store purchases and can edit or delete your local records. Contact shsimsek@icloud.com with questions or privacy requests. The publisher cannot retrieve evidence stored only on your device. If you send an email, the publisher and email service receive your address and whatever information you choose to include. Do not send passwords or private evidence unless you deliberately intend to share it.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal information held by the publisher, object to processing, or complain to the relevant data-protection authority. These rights do not give the publisher access to case data it has never received. You can contact the publisher about information you have sent voluntarily.

Public website

App data and public website traffic are separate. Visiting the ProfPack public website does not upload your case or evidence data. The website is served by static hosting infrastructure, which may be provided by Netlify or another hosting provider. That provider may process standard technical request information such as your IP address, browser/device information and operational server logs to deliver, operate and protect the website, according to its applicable policies.

ProfPack does not intentionally use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or marketing scripts on this website. The site has no support form or case-upload facility. Its static pages do not intentionally set cookies. This does not mean that hosting infrastructure keeps no operational logs. Opening external links or sending an email involves the relevant destination's privacy practices.
